The sixth edition of Instincts, SSN College's cultural fest, was a mega show! With ‘Music' being the theme this year, the participants had three days of unlimited merriment.
The cultural fest was inaugurated by actor Vishal, of “Thiraatha Vilayaatu Pillai” fame. He shared a good rapport with the audience and impressed the crowd with his casual yet cheerful interaction. A fusion show by Sivamani and pianist Stephen Devassy rocked day one.

Carnatic vocalist P. Unnikrishnan presided over the light music session and shared tips with the students. Guitarist Keith Peters marked the contestants and also gave a mellifluous performance. “SSN Idol”, a talent hunt for the best voice among youngsters was entertaining too! Every year, Instincts encourages budding directors. This time director Gautham Vasudev Menon judged the short films. ‘Reels of Fire' was definitely a never-before platform for those who wished to make it big in the field of cinematography. Virtual Movie Bazaar was another event that was unique! A Tamizh pattimandram, organised by ‘Saral' the Tamil club, set the floor to discuss current topics along with veteran speaker, Gnanasambandam. Earlier television star Solomon Papaiya, inaugurated the club. Adi Thamizhar Kalai Kuzhu, a team from Chennai Sangamam, added colour by performing eight forms of folk dance.
Choreo nite was a stupendous success and a fitting finale in which participants showcased their talent with power packed performances! English literary events, gaming and many more were organised to enable the students to display their versatility. On the whole, SSN's Instincts was indeed the most happening cultural extravaganza!
