Long green brinjal, sliced thin: 2 cups

Oil: 3 tablespoons

Mustard: half teaspoon

Black gram dal: 1 teaspoon

Chilli powder: quarter teaspoon

Onion chopped fine: 3 tablespoons

Tomato chopped: 4 tablespoons

Creamy curd: 2 cups

Honey: 1 tablespoon

Coriander chopped: 2 tablespoons

Cumin powder: half a teaspoon.

Wash brinjal in salted water, drain and pat dry. Heat oil, season with mustard and black gram dal.

Add brinjal and sauté till it is cooked. Add chilli powder, remove from fire and cool. Mix in tomato, onions, honey and curds. Check for salt; pour into a serving dish and sprinkle cumin powder and chopped coriander.

Chill and serve.
