Event Join in the fun and festivities at Ethnic Weaves, which celebrates its fourth anniversary on March 2
Ethnic Weaves was started in Kesavadasapuram in 2002 by Kunjumol Cyriac. It has only been four years since the store shifted shop to Muttada Road, Paruthipara. The designer boutique for women celebrates its fourth anniversary at its new locale today.
The boutique, which offers a unique collection of traditional hand-picked fabrics, saris and salwar-kameez fabrics from across the country, has a new collection in store for customers as part of its anniversary celebrations. As summer is around the corner, the store has stocked a range of cotton saris and dress materials. Jaipuri kotas, Ikat and Mangalgiri cottons are some of the collection’s highlights.
On Saturday, the boutique turns into a small village.
A ‘thattukada’ (rustic tea shop) will serve ethnic eats like ‘thattu’ dosa, parippu vada and ethekkappam , which will be served with ‘metre’ tea.
To add to the village fair feel there will also be a fortune teller, a shop for bangles, flowers and the like.
The celebration, which starts at 9.30 a.m., will conclude at 9.30 p.m.
