Will Skoda introduce the Yeti with a DSG gearbox in India?
Yes, Skoda will eventually launch the Yeti with a DSG gearbox once the car is more localised and the costs come down. However, this is unlikely to happen for another year.
My Tata Nano makes noise only when I use the blower. Is it the fan belt that is causing it?
There is no relation between the blower motor and the engine fan belt. The blower on the Nano is, in any case, a bit noisy but if it is excessively so then it needs to be checked by a Tata dealer for a possible manufacturing defect.
I bought a Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDI recently. I have found that the car pulls towards the left and even the steering wheel is tilted a little towards the left. What could the problem be? Also, I find the intensity of the headlamps fitted with bi-halogen projectors low. The stock bulbs are Hella H7. Can I replace them with H4s?
The Fabia 1.4 TDi has a tendency to pull slightly towards the left as it is sensitive to the camber of our roads. However, it does not cause uneven tyre or suspension wear. The steering wheel, which appears tilted towards the left, can be corrected by a proper alignment job. Fitting H4 bulbs may affect the warranty.
I want to buy a new 150cc motorcycle that offers good ride, a comfortable riding posture, excellent stability, decent fuel economy and hassle-free service back-up. I ride 60km every day. I have shortlisted the Yamaha FZ-16, Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler and Hero Honda's CBZ X-treme and Hunk. Which bike do you feel I should go for?
The Yamaha FZ-16 will meet all your needs, and comes with the most stable chassis. The only downside is that this bike is slightly heavier on fuel consumption. We still suggest you go for an FZ-16, but alternately suggest you also consider the Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler in case you are keen on good fuel efficiency.
I am a college student and want to buy a bike that can be used for stunt riding. Between a Yamaha FZ-16 and TVS Apache RTR 180, which one should I go for?
The TVS Apache RTR 180 makes more sense for you, as it will provide you more power and better performance that should aid you when carrying out stunts. The Yamaha FZ-16 is more of an all-rounder, but is relatively sedate.
