Jack Gramm (Al Pacino) is a forensic psychiatrist who teaches in a college. He gives evidence in a case against Jon Forster (Neal McDonough), a serial killer. Jack manages to sway the jury and get Jon a death sentence. But the evening before Jon's execution, Jack receives a threat call. He is told that he has but 88 minutes to live while a killer goes on rampage. Strangely, the killer seems to be using Jon's modus operandi. Could it be possible that Jack had given evidence against an innocent man?
