St. JOSEPH'S INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT
The Hangout: Stairs
Rush hour: During breaks and after college hours
Where it's at: At the entrance of the main block
What's to love: The hangout is very close to the college Director's room. Still the students prefer it. The majority of their conversation at the hotspot revolves around cinema. All filmi gossip stories from Kollywood do the rounds regularly. As of now, the recent release ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' is the hot topic of discussion. While some feel, Surya could have been a better choice for playing the male lead in the film, the others stick to director Gautham Menon's choice.
The students love music and the ‘hosanna …' song in the film ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' is their current favourite. And there are a lot of A.R. Rahman fans as well in the group. The girls in the group aren't much interested in sports. However, they joined the discussion with boys about Sachin Tendulkar's unbeaten double hundred in the recent ODI series against South Africa.
Being management students they have extensive discussion about the budget. The hangout is the place where plans for the evening are devised. Many throng the hotspot, a place they consider too lucky, for last minute exam preparations.
“At other times this hangout is exclusively meant for fun” they chorus.
What's not to: Politics is a strict no here. In any case, the topic does not interest them much.
Alternatives: If the place is over crowded, the corridor is the next attraction.
