EVENT Catch Shinya Yamanaka's lecture on New Era of Medicine with iPS Cells on January 30

The third edition of The Cell Press — TNQ India Distinguished Lectureship Series will be held on January 30. Renowned physician and adult stem cell researcher Shinya Yamanaka will deliver the lecture “New Era of Medicine with iPS Cells”.

Shinya Yamanaka is the director of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application and professor at the Institute for Frontier Medical Sciences at Kyoto University. He is a senior investigator at the UCSF-affiliated J. David Gladstone Institutes and professor of Anatomy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). His scientific breakthrough was the creation of embryonic-like stem cells from adult skin cells. He was awarded the Albert Lasker Prize in 2009 and The Wolf Prize in 2011. The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Cell Press publishes 29 highly-cited journals on biology; Chennai-based TNQ Books and Journals is engaged in pre-publishing services for leading publishers of scientific, technological and medical books and journals.
