Ready to have a hearty laugh again?
The Great Indian Laughter Challenge is back for the fourth round. And this time, Navjot Singh Sidhu will be accompanied by acclaimed actor Shatrughan Sinha.
Currently, the laughter team is travelling through Lucknow, Chandigarh and Delhi and interacting with policemen, doctors and lawyers to help them lighten their hectic schedule.
It is an attempt to help professionals laugh their way out of stress.
Shatrughan Sinha, at the launch of the event, said, “I will have the last laugh and this is just the beginning, so just wait and watch. Even when I was in the Health Ministry, I used to advise people that laughter is the best medicine and now I am putting that into practice.”
As an MP how does he find time for the show? He replied, “Time is precious and I don’t want to waste a moment, so I thought this was the best way to spend time between two Rajya Sabha sessions.”
When people raised the issue that last time vulgarity dominated the show, Sinha reassured everyone that this time it wouldn’t be tolerated.
Why is he choosing to make a comeback to the small screen rather than the big screen? He said, “I have realised that small screen serials have a wider impact on the audience than the big screen.” But he added that he has two films in hand, which would hit movie halls soon.
He signed off saying, “This will be family entertainment show for every section of the Indian population.”
The show hits the airwaves this Friday at 9 p.m. on Star One.
