An exclusive winter resort from France comes to India

A timeless, world-class and exclusive winter resort set atop the French Alps called Les Airelles, will soon find a foothold in India. Severine Paetillaire-Bellet, the general manager of Les Airelles announced the arrival of Les Airelles at Le Meridien this week.

She said, “Les Airelles in Courchevel went under a 35 million Euro facelift. It has proved itself as the most mythical location with some of its clients amongst the 400 richest people of the world.” The general manager of the international luxury hotel brand talked about the world class features including spas and snow caves. The interiors have been basically inspired by 19th Century Austro-Hungarian castles. With an 1100 square-feet kids’ kingdom utmost comfort to luxury seeking family holidaymakers is ensured.

The service is provided at a high price, the room rates for a night range between 2,200 euros to 35,000 euros. Some 160 employees for 52 rooms ensure that very high standards are maintained through out. The general manager, denied the effect of either recession or terrorism, and added, “Seventy per cent of our clients are regular guests so we want to stick to our prices.” She also regards India as a potential market for luxury goods and services which is currently tagged at Rs.1500- 2000 crore, and is estimated to grow at a rate of 15 cent to 20 per cent for the next five years.

Bellete also emphasised that New Delhi and Mumbai will serve as their primary markets.
