Travel Laguna Phuket in Thailand is wooing Indian travellers with a range of facilities

Y oung India, with a fair amount of disposable income, is showing the urge to get the best when it comes to holidaying.

Keeping this in mind tourist destinations throughout the world are trying to woo them. And that includes Laguna Phuket in Thailand from where a team of travel agents was in town recently highlighting the places of interest and even chalking out exciting tours. The team will be conducting road shows and interacting with some travel agents here.

Leading the team was Debbie Dionysius, assistant vice-president of Destinations Marketing for Laguna Phuket, who said, “We have achieved consistent growth from India and I would like to increase and further strengthen the relations between the two countries. Last year we had more than 40000 Indian tourists which is 17 per cent more than we had in the preceding year and this year also we are hoping this number to increase by at least five per cent. Laguna Phuket is Asia's best resort destination offering nearly everything that a tourist needs. We have an 18-hole golf course, a shopping village, spas, a wedding chapel and adventure sports.”

Attractions galore

Laguna Phuket has seven luxury hotels and villa properties with private swimming pools. It is a 20-minute drive from the Phuket International airport and everything within the resort can be accessed by complimentary shuttle buses and water ferries.

The place offers lots of recreational activities like indoor and outdoor tennis courts, beach volleyball court, archery range, batik painting room, fitness centre etc.

Things like water slide, jacuzzi, scuba pool, water volleyball and water basketball can be enjoyed at the water park. If one is interested in water sports then the place offers sea kayaks, sailing, snorkelling and windsurfing.

Laguna Phuket can also be a perfect venue for large Indian weddings. Cost wise it works out to be a bit cheaper compared to our country. Business meetings and corporate events can also be hosted.

For Indian travellers, the visa is on arrival and it is valid for a maximum of 15 days.
