A special buffet for Independence Day at The Residency Towers
With the Independence Day round the corner, restaurants in the city are going in for special decorations and menus to match the mood.Main Street at the Residency Towers will serve a special buffet for dinner on August 14 and for lunch on August 15. The Crown at the hotel will also have a special menu for lunch on August 15. You can start the meal with a tri-colour stuffed vegetable salad or the Lahori bhartha salad or can even give the pasta multi-pepper one a try. For the non-vegetarians, the Hindusthani Platter could be an interesting choice. Some of the soups for the day will be Lady Curzon's mutton broth and baby corn mushroom soup. For the main course, one can choose from khazana kaju pulao, steamed rice, bhagala bath or `hamara desh' rotis. The non-vegetarian section will include iraal murungai kozhambu, Lucknowi murg kebab and Peshwar gosht biryani. Vegetarians can savour from the South and North Indian varieties such as Malabar Aviyal, Karaikudi vegetable chops, Kerala ulli vadai, Tanjore vathal kozhambu, Gujarati milijhuli sabzi, Cantonment Hariyali paneer and Gurkha makkai mirchi.
