CHAT Brazilian model Camila waits for a Bollywood debut

She has been across the planet and worked in Italy, France and numerous other countries before arriving in India two and a half years ago. Says Brazilian model Camila Granato Cunha, who feels at home in India, “Despite the distance between India and Brazil, we share many things. Both cultures like close family ties, enjoys a lot of music and dance and is always in the mood for celebration. I have never felt homesick here.”

Camila enjoys doing short commercials. “I have been fascinated by Bollywood and the Indian film industry. I am taking classes in Hindi and am making an attempt to land a role in a Hindi movie. I do follow the movies on DVDs.”

Despite having to follow strict diets during shoots, Camila loves Gujarati food. “I enjoy the traditional thalis the most. At home in Mumbai, I cook myself. I even make Brazilian specialities since most ingredients are easily available here.” She adds, “Thanks to the nature of my job, I travel across the country. It gives me an opportunity to know the people, their lifestyle and food habits.”
