Book Mahi Jay, winner of the contest conducted by Harlequin has released her first book, Falling for a Bollywood Legend

Asuper-sexy hero and a heroine who tugs his heart… their passionate and forever kind of love and a happy-ever-after… all these and more make a typical Mills and Boon novel. When Harlequin, leading publishers of books for women (with Mills and Boon novels as its USP) began a contest, it was a unique opportunity for Indian women story writers to showcase their work.

Among the hundreds of ‘love’ stories received for the competition, Mahi Jay’s story proved lucky. She is the winner of ‘Passions Aspiring Author Auditions’ and is set to release her first book ‘Falling for a Bollywood Legend’. A die-hard Chennaite, Mahi, a management graduate has switched careers from retail and finance till she found her groove in writing. “I certainly wasn’t prepared for the aftermath. When I got the go ahead to start writing the novel, I felt stumped,” she says and adds, “This entire journey, from story to novel, has been a fantastic learning experience.”

Falling for a Bollywood Legend tells the story of Aadith Varma, the hottest guy in Bollywood and ultimate romantic hero. And Nina Shah is the best PR person in the business. When fate brings them together, they both face a slight awkwardness as they have a past.

For someone who used to swap romantic novels with friends more than exchanging study notes, Mahi Jay’s love affair with romantic novels continues till date. “Love is the biggest healer of all,” signs off Mahi.

( Falling for a Bollywood Legend is available in bookstores for Rs. 125.)
