EVENT The audio of “180” was released recently, and each number revolves around a concept
T he audio of the bilingual “180” was released recently. Directed by ad filmmaker Jayendra, and produced by Sathyam Cinemas and Aghal Films, the film is a romantic drama. It stars Siddharth, Nithya Menen and Priya Anand.
“180” is a story about the power of living for the moment. It revolves around a young man who lives for the moment — he does not believe in ruminating the past or planning tomorrow.
An inquisitive girl falls in love with the protagonist's ‘do it now or hold it forever' philosophy, without knowing anything about him. When she expresses her interest in him, he decides to flee the city. But, destiny stops him. The girl leaves with him to the U.S., and we discover his story, love, plight, and his need to lead a life of anonymity.
The film has six songs, composed by Sharreth, who has directed music for several Malayalam films. The songs embrace a variety of genres. Viveka and Karky have delicately balanced romance and philosophy with their lyrics.
The director has employed a concept-based approach to each song, in terms of choreography and picturisation. Cinematographer Balasubramaniem has lent the songs a unique touch. And, this was evident from the two songs screened during the audio launch. ‘Rules Kidayaadhu', choreographed by Dinesh, showcases in slow motion the magical moments of everyday life that's lost in routine.
‘Nee Korinaal', choreographed by Prasanna Sujit, uses birthday as a platform to bring out romance.
