Food, shopping, theatre, craft—find all that and more at 153 Biere Street
It is a quaint, little space tucked away in a corner of Whitefield behind the Forum Value Mall, next to the Prestige Ozone apartments.
A series of shops with brightly coloured awning windows leads to a paved patio with wrought iron furniture and lamp posts, giving the space a distinctly international feel.
“It is a single space with various elements to it,” explains Vishal Nagpal, Director Operations of 153, Biere Street, the latest addition to the city’s food and entertainment scene.
The offering is certainly a highly differentiated one which includes Mustard & Cress -- a Californian style organic café, The Biere Club -- a craft brewery, bar and kitchen, Everything Stops for T-- a Victorian style Bake House, Tailorman offering personalized menswear, Ohana Flowers—a boutique specializing in flower arrangements, Do-Something-- a crafts store that art and décor trinkets, The Design Edition-- a young and upcoming Interior and home decor store and The Patio –a little terrace for small private parties or simply an afternoon tea.
Vishal adds that the central area is often filled with market stalls whose offerings vary from week to week.
In addition to the food and retail outlets, there is also a raised platform in the corner of the space which he says will be used as a theatre and performance area.
According to him, the space which opened on March 1, offers a little something for everyone, “You could come here as an individual, as a couple, as a family, even with your pets and you’ll find something you like,” he says.
