Recipe Here’s how to make the simple pav bhaji and paneer snack

Pav Bhaji

Ingredients:

Buns – 12

Potatoes – 2

Tomato – 1

Beans – 2 chopped

Green peas – one-fourth cup

Cabbage – 1 tbsp

Cauli flower -1 tbsp

Lemon – half

Garam Masala – half tbsp

Pav Bhaji masala – 1 and half tbsp

Curry leaves and Coriander – to taste

Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp

Butter – half cup

Oil – 1 and half tbsp

Salt – to taste

Method :

Soak green peas for 4 - 5 hours. Pressure cook the potatoes, beans, carrot, cabbage and cauliflower. Drain the water, keep aside and smash the mix. Cut three onions and tomatoes into square shapes.

In a broad pan take oil, add onions to it. When they turn soft, add the tomatoes and fry for two minutes. Add chilli powder, masala powders, salt and lemon . Fry all the mashed vegetables.

Boil for 5 minutes to make the final bhaji.

Cut a bun sideways into half. Smear butter or ghee and roast on a tawa till light brown. Serve the buns with the bhaji placed one the side.

Paneer Snack

Ingredients:

Paneer – 220 gms

Maida – half cup

Salt – 1 tsp

Chilli powder – 1 tsp

Ajwain –half tsp

Oil – to fry

Water – 1 cup

Method:

Cut the paneer into small cubes. Mix maida and half tsp salt with the water to make a batter. Separately mix chilli powder, ajwain and half tsp salt. Dip the paneer pieces into the batter. Deep fry these in oil. Roll them into the prepared masala mixture. Put on tooth picks and serve hot.
