‘Silk 2013’, organised by Abhivridhi (Mysore), an exhibition-cum-sale of 60 stalls showcasing silk and silk products from different parts of India is on at Gokulam Park Convention Centre. On show will be products made by silk manufacturers, silk sari weavers and silk co-operative societies from all over the country. The show is being organized by Abhivridhi, Mysore.
Tussar, eri, mulberry and muga are among the prominent varieties of silk on show. Tussar silk saris and salwar sets, Pashmina shawls and salwar sets, embroidered designer silk saris, Kanchipuram, Dharmavaram, crepe saris, chiffon saris, handloom silk-cotton saris, printed and Baluchari saris are some of the silks available. Besides saris there are shirts, kurtas, ties, stoles, duppattas, shawls, jackets, cushion-covers and bed-sheets too. The timings are from 10 a.m. – 8. 30 p.m. The exhibition concludes on December 9.
