The crispy appam tastes much like the ‘medhu vadai’. It is made of rice and urad dal, which is soaked in water and then ground. Pepper and curry leaves are added to the batter. It is made into small balls and then deep fried. The taste gets doubled when the dish is savoured with the green chilly chutney.
