Yeh dosti….

T risha was spotted on the ramp recently at a show presented by designer Sidney Sladen. The actor, who made an appearance as the show-stopper in a flamboyant pink gown, said she was happy to walk the ramp for her designer-friend. When asked if she had any regrets not playing Jessie in the Hindi version of “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa”, she said the film is being re-made differently to suit a different audience. “I feel Amy Jackson is the right choice for the film. I have no regrets about not doing it. I'm busy with ‘Samaran' with Vishal in Tamil and two films in Telugu (one with Venkatesh and other with Junior NTR). There is no Hindi film as of now.” Will we get to see her more often on the ramp? “If it is for friends, I may do it. I value friendship more than anything else.”

Anjali says no...

A njali was upset as the rumour mill worked overtime about her wedding with Jai, her co-star of “Engeyum Eppothum”. Even before the release of the film she was asked if she was seeing Jai. Though she refuted the rumours vehemently, speculation of an impending wedding was rife in Kollywood. Ultimately, the actor came out with a signed statement that said she'd worked hard to establish herself in films. “I want to do a number of good films in which I can prove my talent and win awards. After toiling for five long years, I'm getting fine roles that may take me to a different level. At this juncture, I've not thought about marriage. In fact, to stop these rumours, I have decided not to act with Jai anymore.”

Naan aval thaan

I n case you are wondering what Kollywood siren Namitha is doing these days, here's what! The actor has started her own real estate business. Recently, she was in Mumbai with a proposal for building villas. Is she going to quit films? Certainly not, she says. “Films are my passion. I'm now doing a couple of Tamil and Telugu films, and will not leave the film industry at all. But I want to be a business woman too. I feel I can devote enough time to business. The thing is, some producers approach me for doing an item number. I hate that. I'd like to do women-oriented subjects that can bring to fore my histrionic skill better.”
