Kanika in Telugu flick

Actress Kanika Tiwari, who played Hrithik Roshan’s sister in Agneepath , has signed her second Telugu film. The yet untitled project features southern actor Prince Cecil opposite her. “We are planning to launch the film in the second week of June. I have roped in Kanika after I saw her performance in Agneepath ,” says director Ramesh. “She may be a north Indian, but she has the features of a south Indian. This is one of the reasons why I was hell-bent on casting her,” he adds.

Girish Taurani’s formula

Actor Girish Taurani, who is making his acting debut with Prabhu Deva’s Ramaiya Vastavaiya , believes keeping the audience happy will help him tread the right direction in his career. “All my energy is invested here. In future, whatever work I do, my intention will be to do good work and keep my audience happy,” Girish says. “Audience will always remain the king, and if they are pleased with you, they will take you ahead.” The actor, son of producer Ramesh Taurani, says it doesn’t matter what family one comes from; if you’re talented, you’re here to stay.

No TV for Saif

Three of Bollywood’s famous Khans — Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir — have already had a taste of the small screen, but Saif Ali Khan is happy being distant from it. Neither does he enjoy the drama content, nor does he find any entertainment in reality TV. “I don’t know about acting on TV. I feel we need great content on TV. As of now, it is cornered by housewives, and I feel there’s a need for content for young boys. Our TV is not as good,” says Saif. Seen recently in his home production Go Goa Gone , Saif has a firm no-no to Indian TV reality shows as well. “I can’t bear reality TV. Why would I want to watch all of that? I don’t like shows like Big Brother . I like drama,” he says.
