TV The Magic of the Big Blue takes you into the depths of the ocean

Animal Planet will telecast a new series called The Magic of The Big Blue .

Nearly three quarters of the earth’s surface lies beneath a vast blue patchwork of seas and oceans and viewers can go on an expedition through the oceanic wonders across seven continents with this series, claim the makers.

The series covers continents from Asia to Australia and Oceania, South America, Europe, Africa, North America and the Antarctica, from where you can see the beautiful underworld from the eye of Polish underwater photographer Darek Sepiolo’s cameras.

The series begins in Asia, where they explore the coral triangle lying between the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Watch coloured coral reefs, home to an array of life forms including six out of the seven species of marine turtles, manta rays, yellowfin tuna and so on.

Other highlights of the series include encounters with feeding sharks, Antartic dwelling leopard seals and migrating whales.

The seven-part series will be telecast every night from February 15 at 8 p.m.
