‘Vanjaram’ may be the most common name in every seafood lover’s list, but it still manages to tingle the taste buds every time. Chef Bulai Swain of Euphoria fine dining restaurant has whipped up a veritable feast by marinating the most popular sea fish ‘Vanjaram’ with the right dose of spices. “The perfect time for marinating the meat is the key to bring out the flavour,” he explains. It’s not just the Vanjaram, here you are greeted to a world of seafood delights in various flavours – tandoor, Indian, Continental or Chinese. You just have to seek the chef’s help to make the right choice of dish.

The chef serves the ‘Vanjaram’ in the traditional tandoor style wrapped in spices and garnished with green salads. The squids are the next to arrive in a delightfully subtle flavour. Squids are one of the newest items to be included in the seafood menu of the city hotels and fining dining restaurants. If you prefer simple and mild flavours, go for the fried squid in butter or stuffed squid for some variations of the chef. The difficult part of a squid dish is cleaning of the squid, we learn.

For the health conscious ones, there are options of seafood salad which comes with the greens.

Tiger prawns are the next to come up from the menu. Here, you get a choice to pick. You can either go for Indian or Chinese preparations or straight from the tandoor.

Since it’s an a-la-carte menu, it is prudent to ask the chef for the best possible combination to relish the seafood feast to the fullest. There are the regulars such as seafood soups and salads. Crabs, prawns, lobsters, besides the regular fish varieties, are all there in various avatars.

And if you are a football fan, catch the action live during dinner time and if you aren’t particularly inclined towards it, don’t worry you still have delicious seafood dishes to savour.

The restaurant is offering a 20 per cent discount on food and liquor during dinner and for lunch, there will be 20 per cent discount on food and 40 per cent discount on liquor (Monday to Saturday). The festival is open till July 12.
