THEATRE The course is designed to learn and experiment
Riad Mahmood Education and Arts Foundation announces the three-month Theatre Makers Programme for writers and directors, at the Indian Ensemble Playwright’s Centre.
Applications for the programme are invited and the focus of the programme will help the participants develop their concept of a play into a complete script, and also create a devised performance.
With practising theatre practitioners as mentors and faculty, the course, say the organisers, is designed to learn and experiment with the various aspects of theatre making.
The curriculum will be a combination of regular faculty led classes, guest lectures, along with hands-on theatre making and will also include rehearsed readings of the eight plays written and a performance.
Abhishek Majumdar will lead the programme.
The programme is open to only eight participants (four aged below 21 years and four aged above 21 years). Classes will be held on weekdays from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. with full-day classes on weekends. The programme, scheduled between February 9 to 28, will be free. Those interested can write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The details required are you CV and a proposal / concept note on the play you are looking to develop.
January 23 is the last date to send in your entry.
