SHOP Grameena Angadi will have a sale of handlooms native to the State for the upcoming festivals

Grameena Angadi, a store that houses handlooms and handicrafts from Karnataka, is having a sale for the upcoming Gouri and Ganesha festivals. Weavers all over Karnataka made pure cotton saris that represented the cultural traditions of their hometowns. Today, with a diminishing market for handlooms, most of these exquisite weaving traditions are dying.

In a bid to keep them alive for posterity, Grameena Angadi brings to its space weavers with their sari collection. The slogan of their endeavour is “buy a Karnataka sari, and save Karnataka handlooms”. A discount of 20 per cent is offered on their entire festive range – jute border handlooms, Koppala’s Bhagyanagar saris, Dharwad’s kasuti saris, Bagalkot’s Ilkal saris along with cotton kurtas, bags, jewellery and organic products.

Grameena Angadi is located on 11{+t}{+h}Main Road, 39{+t}{+h}A Cross, 4{+t}{+h}T Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore. Call 9448324727 or 9731105526 for details.
