This February, Animal Planet has launched a new series, “Safari Sisters”, which follows the lives of Emmy award-winning wildlife filmmaker, Kim Wolhuter and his young daughters in the African savannah. Kim Wolhuter comes from a lineage of Kruger national Park game rangers and has spent his life in South Africa documenting nature’s wonders.
“Safari Sisters” is a charming series that showcases the manner in which Kim’s two daughters, Lindy and Penny seem to be eagerly following in their father’s footsteps. They are also playing a bigger role in Kim’s wildlife documentation and conservation efforts. “Safari Sisters” will air every Wednesday at 8 p.m., with a repeat telecast at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday on Animal Planet. The series narrates the first-hand account of the escapades of Kim, Lindy and Penny Wolhuter as they make films and experience a life of which most people only dream of, amidst Southern Africa’s wild creatures. It also reflects on their rich family history of African bush life, wildlife conservation in Southern Africa.
