Almost 100 cricketers who have played for Andhra over the years met up at a city hotel for a reunion. The passion and camaraderie shared by the group was visible as they spoke about their playing days and shared anecdotes. The group felicitated D.V. Subba Rao Present President of the Andhra Cricket Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Subba Rao while accepting his award urged the organisers of the event to extend the invitation to players who have played at the district level at all age groups as well so that the entire community of cricketers could come together to take the game forward. He spoke about the days when people played the game purely for passion and not for any monetary rewards. He said that cricket was lifetime commitment as the association does not end when you retire. The are many ways by which a person can contribute to the game after retirement. Coaching and mentoring juniors will help build a stronger Andhra team, he added

Two emerging cricketers Suraj Preetam and Jhansi were presented with the Late R.V.V.K Prasad cash award in recognition of their performance.

The group also played festive matches before the event which saw many people participate.
