Suraj Venjaramoodu is in total control of his reel life. “Things haven’t been better really,” he says, with two plum projects on the anvil—Siddique-Mohanlal combo Ladies and Gentlemen and Benny P. Nayarambalam-Dileep project Sound Thoma. Offers have been flowing in from Tamil, too. But it is debutant Subil Surendran’s Ente Sathyanweshana Pareekshakal that he is looking forward to . Touted to be a milestone in Suraj’s career, the film has him in the lead. “It is a serious role that maps the mindscape of a comedian, the complexities and hardships he faces,” he says. Scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan, the film is a dedication to one of Malayalam cinema’s most talented actors, Adoor Bhasi, Suraj says.
