The British Council has announced a Reading Challenge programme for children in the age group of 5 to 8 years and 9 to 13 years. The theme this year is Creepy House – an exclusive collection of hair-raising stories and adventures. The Reading Challenge is an immensely popular and successful reading initiative run in UK libraries and schools, which the British Council is proud to bring to Bangalore. Each year the programme encourages children to read six or more books to win a certificate and medal.

Each participant will be given a two month membership and allowed to borrow books for two weeks at a time. The fee per child is Rs. 1,500 and the challenge begins from April 1.. As part of the event, two workshops will also be organised on the English language. Limited number of seats are on offer and the last date to register is April 1.
