Part of the HaptiMap research project, PocketNavigator sits in your pocket, vibrating you to your destination. Two vibrations means straight on, one long and one short is right and one short and one long is left. Too bad you can't feel the feedback through a jeans pocket and commands go haywire at junctions — it kept telling us to turn right when we needed to go straight on. On the plus side, GPS lock-on is quick and it's easy to plan your route — just tap your final destination on the detailed map. Even so, this is more interesting than essential. Look up, android
