Shahid holds forth on his latest film with Kareena

Shahid Kapur describes his new film, Chup Chup Ke, as a comedy of errors which deals with mistaken identities. The actor says, "This is not the first time I have done a comedy, but it is the first time my role is comic."Shahid calls his character `interesting' and admits, "It wasn't so easy to pretend to be deaf and dumb". In the film, Shahid's co-star Kareena plays a born deaf and dumb but Shahid emphasises that the disability factor is not central to the film. Chup Chup Ke is Shahid's first film with director Priyadarshan, famous for his situational comedies. He says about the director,"Priyadarshan works really fast. In the first few days, I was trying to adjust to the frenzy. The whole thing was insane. I couldn't stop laughing. With co-starts like Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav, it was like a roller coaster ride."
