Theatre Two plays by the children of the Kids Central School

K ids Central School, Kotturpuram, is organising ‘Kadhai Carnival 2', a play directed by theatre artiste Feisal Alkazi. It involves 250 actors, aged between 9 months and 11 years.

‘Agar Magar', the first play, based on a story by Zai Whitaker, proclaims that the earth belongs to everyone. It all begins when the rabbit postman delivers a letter to the tortoise family, asking them to leave.

The second story is ‘Alibaba and the Forty Thieves', retold with a contemporary twist. Kasim lives an extravagant life, while his brother, Alibaba is poor. But by a stroke of luck, he stumbles onto a treasure trove. News of his wealth reaches Kasim, who ventures into the cave, but gets trapped inside.

The play will be staged on February 20, at the Sir Mutha Venkata Subba Rao Auditorium, at 6 p.m.. Tickets will be available at Kids Central Nursery and Primary School, 2, 4, 6, Ranjith Road, Kotturpuram. They are priced at Rs.500, Rs.750, Rs.1000, Rs.2000 and Rs.3000.
