With India being the fastest growing mobile phone market, more and more people are also suffering from phones being stolen. An unofficial estimate claims that close to Rs.500 crores worth of mobile phones are lost/stolen per annum. Keeping this in mind, Samsung Telecommunications has come out with a new range of phones, X-520, E-250 and P-140, with tracking and safety features like U-Trac, Emergency SOS Message and Privacy Lock. Mobile trackers allow one to submit a phone number where notifications will be sent. In case a SIM-card is changed, that message will contain the number of the SIM-card being used with the handset. Not only this, the SOS feature is particularly useful for a user to alert associates in emergency situations without having to dial their numbers.
