EVENT One Billion Eyes Documentary Film Festival from October 23 to 27

Prakriti Foundation presents its annual One Billion Eyes Documentary Film Festival . It is being organised in collaboration with Alliance Française of Madras (AFM) and Voices From Water, international travelling film festival. The theme of this year’s festival is Water. As many as 25 documentaries with a running time between one minute and 85 minutes will be screened.

Apart from the screenings, there are also talks every day — by Parthiv Shah on his journey on river Narmada (October 23); Nityanand Jayaraman on Climate Change And Outlook For Tamil Nadu’s Water Security (October 24); Arun Krishnamurthy on Youth In Water Conservation (October 26); and T.K. Ramkumar on the issues of water (October 27). V. Arun will moderate a discussion on the films screened on October 25. Home Gone — In A Box Now , an exhibition of photographs by Parthiv Shah, featuring a school on the banks of river Narmada, is part of the festival.
