“N amma Santhe”, a morning market for organic and natural produce is being held for the first time in Bangalore on March 7. Vana Bhoomi, the environmental community programme from Navachetana Trust (an all-women team) is organising the market, to draw people directly to the point of purchase in a lively and informal atmosphere and provide an opportunity to engage with fresh, wholesome products.
There will also be a Natural Food workshop for those who want to discover how to eat naturally and healthily, conducted by naturopathy experts. There will be an indigenous slow food stall, medicinal plants to buy for your window kitchen garden, vegetables, fruits and commodities, a potter's wheel, coconut water and sugarcane juice to quench your thirst, a Wishing Tree to tie wishes to, a Speaker's Corner to have your say.
