You have come a long way. What next?

What I have achieved as a heroine is memorable. But what I am doing now will also be unforgettable. I am acting in ‘Mariyathai’ as Alamelu. I am satisfied with the way I have done my role.

Does it not bother you that it’s a mother’s role?

The role offers great potential. Being a heroine is good, but not being one is not the end of the road. I am playing roles suitable for my age.

Who from your family will enter the industry next?

My sister Radha was in the field. My brother Arjun acted in ‘Puthu Nellu Pudhu Nathu.’ Another brother Suresh, who wants to act, is trained in dance and stunts. I have two sons; the elder one is Kam Kesav and the younger, Risikesh. We have not thought about acting as a career for them, but if they want to, I am fine with it.
