Don’t Look Back in Anger

That many Oasis fans regard this as the band’s strongest track in the 1995 album ‘What’s the Story, Morning Glory?’ says a lot about how highly regarded this song is. This song has everything that’s good about Oasis and Brit rock — Noel Gallagher’s witty writing is at its sharpest, it’s just one hell of a tune. The song is also a humoroustribute to John Lennon — the lively piano intro parodies the tune Lennon made famous in Imagine, and Noel also pokes fun at John and Yoko’s rather bizarre idea of staging ‘bed-ins’ for peace
