Grammy award-winning singer and pianist Norah Jones will be playing on her very own piano in Bangalore during her concert at Manpho Convention Centre in Bangalore on March 8. Jones performs only on her own piano, which travels with her across the world, and she’ll be bringing the same one to Bangalore, after having performed on it in Mumbai and Delhi. The brown Yamaha Upright Spinet piano, a smaller sibling of the vertical piano, comes to India from Singapore, where Norah performed on the February 27 at the Star Theatre.

Norah Jones performs her biggest hits such as ‘Come Away With Me’ and ‘Don't Know Why’ on the piano live at her concerts. But every once in a while, she changes it up with a guitar rendition of the massive hits that have made her such a popular musician across the world. So you can expect her to perform on her piano in Bangalore, or perhaps even surprise you with the songs on her guitar.

Norah Jones also takes great care of her stage design wherever she plays across the world. She flies beautiful, large origami cranes in with her which light up, lending a whimsical, dreamy feeling to the entire stage. These cranes are a big part of her set design and will be flown in to Bangalore, the last stop on her first India tour.

In total, Norah Jones flew in nearly 10 tonnes of equipment including guitars, the Yamaha Upright Spinet Piano and origami cranes for her first tour of India. For tickets call 9535375399. Log on to
