EVENT Proceeds of Overtones music event will go towards providing free-of-charge palliative care for cancer patients

Fun and frolic is certainly guaranteed at this event but there is also the added element of it being for a good cause. The Bangalore Music Institute in association with Templetree Leisure brings you Overtones, an evening of live music. Featuring four well-known blues, rock and fusion acts from the city: Ministry of Blues, Moon Arra, Solder and Midriff Strain, the proceeds of the concert will go towards The Bangalore Hospice Trust (BHT) – Karunashraya, a public charitable trust incepted by the Indian Cancer Society and the Rotary Club of Bangalore – Indiranagar, provides free-of-charge palliative care for cancer patients.

According to Sunaina Joseph, who co-owns the Templetree Leisure property where the event is being held, “We are trying to raise awareness among young people. I think because of the sort of music being played, the event will garner a diverse crowd and it is a nice way to both contribute to a cause and spend some time.”

The event will be held at Templetree Leisure, Bellandur on August 3 between 5 and 11 p.m. Entry is by donor passes (Rs. 500) which are available at bookmyshow, Karunashraya, Infinitea, Bangalore Music Institute. Call 09008 366700.
