Event Watch documentaries, short films and animation films this weekend

Film movement Marupakkam, film journal Padapetti and Book Point hold their monthly film screenings from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 25. Films in the line-up are documentaries Dilli that talks about people who are rendered homeless as the city develops and Cotton for my Shroud that deals with the farmer suicide crisis in India. Also to be screened are Algo Queda (Something Remains), a Spanish short-film that revolves around the selfless are-givers of Alzheimer patients and a package of animation films curated by artist Trotsky Maruthu. Entry is free. The screenings will be held at Book Point (opposite Spencer Plaza).
