In New Delhi recently to promote the launch of House Of Marley , a collection of eco-friendly personal audio products, Rohan Marley, son of Jamaican Reggae legend Bob Marley, remembers instances from childhood and the nine enriching years spent with his father.

“Everything my father did was for the betterment of mankind. His contributions for society are still kept alive through our 1Love foundation, which creates charities for deprived children.”

Says Rohan, “I am human being first, and only then an entrepreneur. Values such as compassion, humility and selflessness are most important to me,” he says. In India for the very first time, Rohan finds it similar to Ethiopia in many ways. “One of them is the staunch belief in spirituality and the existence of god,” he says. “I love Indian food and the way people extended warmth and hospitality towards me. It feels great to know so many Indians love the music of Bob Marley.”

A staunch follower of Mahatma Gandhi, Marley loves to quote his famous saying — “Be the change you wish to see.”

The launch took the audience to the Bob Marley era as his popular numbers such as ‘Buffalo Soldier’, ‘No Woman No Cry’ were played.
