He talks about natural medicine and herbs for ailments and then switches over to varmakalai and reiki. Out of the blue, he picks up his violin and plays Christian hymns. Next, he moves on to drums and guitars. He puts on some M.S. Subbulakshmi and Thiagaraja Bhagavathar before hopping to Jim Reeves.
Caressing the antique gramophones and radiograms in his house, Ashely Rathinaprakash says, “If only these instruments could speak, they could narrate their pristine past. But they would sing all-time favourite numbers of Elvis Presley and the Beatles.”
