Gone are the days when festivals were celebrated elaborately and with great joy.

There was a time when parents would buy small quantity of crackers and simple dresses for Deepavali.

But the happiness we derived while drying the crackers daily in the sun and wrapping them in old newspapers till the dawn of Deepavali; of course counting them everytime, cannot be explained in simple words.

The experience of taking an oil bath on the morning of Deepavali and quickly getting into your new clothes and rushing to burst the crackers is definitely a thing of the past.

Now who has the time for such simple pleasures. Really, time has taken a toll.
