Over 150 artisans come together at ‘Crafts Bazaar’
It’s that time of the year when Lepakshi lures you with drool-worthy handicrafts and handlooms from Andhra Pradesh. Its ‘Crafts Bazaar’ is on at YMCA Grounds, West Cott Road in Royapettah. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. till March 1.
Over 150 artisans have come together to present you a variety of their works from Andhra and other States.
Choose from Kondapally toys, wood carvings, artificial jewellery, pearls, metal castings, Banjara hand embroidery, cotton durries, kalamkari, Chirala, batik, Mangalagiri and Pochampalli fabric, Venkatagiri, Gadwal, and Narayanpet saris, brass items, Banaras, Chanderi and Maheshwari saris, bell metal, jute bags, Tanjore paintings, cotton saris, panchaloha jewellery, beads, bed sheets, ceramic paintings, terracotta articles, Pattachitra paintings and Kashmiri silk saris and jewellery.
A discount of 10 per cent is offered on handicrafts and 20 per cent on handlooms. Artisans will be present at the exhibition to demonstrate a few of the crafts.
