The social responsibility of preventing the suicide syndrome solely rests on the shoulders of parents and the schooling system. Parents should expose their children to a lot of team and adventurous games so that they develop as physically and mentally fit individuals. Despite giving everything that we (parents) were deprived of during our childhood, we should make them to experience a “NO” as this would teach them to handle rejections and disappointments. Schools should take learning beyond class rooms and books. Value education should be made mandatory. This should not be yet another subject for rat racing. We are what we are repeatedly told. Hence let us influence our children with a lot of positive thoughts.
