Book Lady Gaga’s memoirs reveal her roots

Lady Gaga’s longtime friend and former DJ has penned a touching memoir — Rivington Was Ours: Lady Gaga — which recalls the singer’s life before she gained stardom. In the book, Brendan Jay Sullivan said that Gaga’s genius was in her ability to mirror those around her.

When Sullivan’s girlfriend broke up with him, Gaga implored him to read the book The Secret , trying to persuade him to visualise getting his healing the same way she had visualised one day playing at Madison Square Garden. He wrote that many of Gaga’s early songs — the same ones that would make her a superstar — were inspired by these Lower East Side experiences, especially her tumultuous relationship with Carl. (ANI)
