Yes, time has taken a toll on traditional festivities but only to some extent. We still celebrate festivals with pomp and gaiety. Of course, the involvement is missing.

The reason being today people are short on time. Earlier we would visit relatives and friends to wish them personally on festivals. With the advent of technology, we wish each other through SMS and email.

So the joy of spending some happy time together with family and friends is missing. Whatever be the demands of the changing times, let’s not lose the true essence of festivals.
