Bhagavataru, a cultural organisation that has been doing innovative programmes for a decade now, organises a theatre festival to celebrate litterateur Chandrashekar Kambar's Jnanapith honour.
The four-day festival, which begins today, will have plays, discussions, folk songs and a felicitation programme. The festival opens with the play “Karimaayi” by Spandana, directed by B. Jayashri.
On February 22, Prayogranga presents “Shivaratri” directed by Krishnamurthy Kavattar. On February 23, Rangayana, Mysore, presents “Shikhara Soorya”, directed by B.V. Rajaram. On the last day, Benaka presents “Jokumara Swamy” directed by B.V. Karanth. All plays begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are priced at Rs. 50.
