Producer V. Ravichandran of Oscar Films has said that his film "Dasavatharam," starring Kamal Hassan, is progressing well and could turn out to be one of the costliest films ever made in Tamil. Says Ravichandran: "It is an unusual subject, one that has not been tackled so far. Kamal is doing 10 different roles, and in nine of them, you can hardly recognise him. Each make-up session takes nearly eight hours and we can shoot only for an hour each time. It is amazing to see the patience, dedication and attention to detail that Kamal displays." By the time this K. S. Ravikumar-directed film is complete, it would have taken nearly 280 days of shoot. The climax alone is estimated to cost around Rs. 6 crore as the special effects are likely to be done in the U.S. Himesh Reshammiya's music will be another highlight. The film also stars Asin, Mallika Sherawat, Jayapradha and Napoleon.
