The audio of “Veluthu Kattu” just about manages to impress
The audio of “Veluthu Kattu”, produced by director S.A. Chandrasekaran, was released recently by actor Vijay. The first copy was received by actor Kushboo. The film, directed by Senapathimagan, has new faces Kadhir and Arundhathi in the lead. Those present include the president of Tamil Film Producers Council, Rama. Narayanan; the chief of Exhibitors Federation, Abirami Ramanathan; FEFSI president V.C. Guhanathan; and the film's cast and crew. The music is by Bharani.
There are eight songs in the album, including a repeat.
‘Kirratha' is a foot-tapping number sung by Tippu, and penned by Snegan. ‘Thalaseevi' is sung by Roshini, and written by Na. Muthukumar. Shankar Mahadevan, Pallavi Surender and Charulathamani fail to impress in ‘Singampatti', written by Na. Kabilan. In Na. Muthukumar's lyrics, and rendered well by Aandhankudi Ilayaraja and Roshini, ‘Othaya Irundha' makes an impact. The song is repeated by Roshini. Actor Vijay's mother Shoba Sekar has sung ‘Sangili Pungili', along with Karthik and Rap Valla. The lyrics are by Na. Muthukumar. ‘Kaakaikku', sung by Vaishali, Shakthi Pragadesh, Muthupandi, and written by Bharani, lacks punch. The last number in the album, ‘Anbulla', is a small piece sung by Bharani, and written by Snegan.S.R. ASHOK KUMAR
