On display is Bhaskaran's latest take on the longstanding principal muses that adorn his art — the cat, fish, couple, plant forms and still life. These recurring motifs are significant symbols that the artist employs to portray his environment, each having taken up many years of his early career, as individual series. In a bid to move forward yet maintain his core inspiration Bhaskaran unites his varied muses, often to share pictorial space. Seen in the context of his earlier work, the present show draws meaning to the title ‘Celebrating Form'. The paintings and prints on display are dated 2008 onwards.
